"Look out .. I'm putting my race face on!"
To me, it is the little things in life that count. Riding in the rain, the road trip to races with friends, the joy of celebrating success after a race - they all add up to the greater picture of the joy of biking. I enjoy many parts of biking but I love the feeling of standing at the top of trail that looks challenging and visualizing myself sending it down the sickest line. And then of course doing it the way I imagined - just as cool, maybe minus the back flip!
2016 was a phenomenal year of growth in my riding and racing. Winning the Junior Expert Downhill Nationals and Provincials was an honour, but the highlight for me was coming second in the overall Canada Cup series and being on the pro women's podium with the champagne and the celebration of success. This has ignited my fire for the upcoming year of racing.
I'm looking forward to this season being a new beginning. This year I will be moving out of junior and into a new category. I'm excited to see what will happen. I'm looking forward to growing as a rider and as an individual as I meet new people and learn new skills. I am extremely grateful for Race Face who have been so supportive of every aspect of my riding and racing.
