As described, they are light, strong, and beautiful. The spindle is interchangeable so u should never need another crankset. Peddle strikes a thing of the past with the 170mm crank length, oh and made in B.C just adds to the feel good cool factor.
So far so good.
Only have a couple of hundred kilometres on them so it’s too soon to say anything about durability but so far so good.
I installed them on a lightweight carbon race hardtail build and while I did save a few grams (Yes I’m a weight weenie) over my usual cranks, the main reason I got them was the modular construction with interchangeable spindles and chainrings for just about any drivetrain.
Anyway, the cranks Are very light & seem solid & well made. The finish is good and the small details like the included boots, protective tape, pedal washers & hex adaptor make for an easy install.
They look good in a low key way that I personally really like.
One thing I hear people complain about on these cranks is the “cheap plastic” non-drive side tension ring and wood screw type fastener. IMHO it’s a brilliant design. If it is installed/used as per Manufacturers recommendations it works perfectly but if someone gets hamfisted with it (something we see in our shop from time to time), all that gets damaged is a cheap and easily replaced part with no damage to the expensive crankset…awesome!
I have never bent a crank arm, With these over the ones being replaced I'm saving about 200 grams. I'm about 9000 grams overweight. But I had to have them and I have no buyer's remorse.
