These are exactly what I've been looking for when it comes to basic protection for aggressive/technical XC riding (I have bigger pads for gravity rides). I followed the size chart, but unfortunately even the XXL pads are too small for me. I'm 183 cm and 99 kg with an athletic build, apparently not part of their target market. I'm going to have to return them - bummer.

I really like these knee pads, they're just the right combination of flexibility and protection, *except* for the awful pad removal hole in the middle of my shin. The hole is inside the cloth shell, and it's designed for removal of the pad for washing. The problem is that the hole has a very thick layer of trim stitched around it, which means there's a very hard donut of thick material pressing hard, directly into my shin right under my knees. It's uncomfortable, and leaves a dent in my shin for hours after I take off the pads. Otherwise, these are awesome.
