Hayden Zablotny Makes History with Rookie Win at Red Bull Rampage 2025

Against the raw sandstone cliffs of Virgin, Utah, the 2025 edition of Red Bull Rampage became a launching pad for a new star in freeride mountain biking. At just 22 years old, Race Face athlete Hayden Zablotny entered the arena as a rookie and walked away as the champion, marking one of the most impressive debuts in Rampage history.

After a tough first run, which saw him crash on a transfer step-up, Zablotny regrouped and delivered an unforgettable second attempt. His winning run scored 96.00 points, combining massive features with effortless flow and control. Dropping in with a bold double drop straight out of the start gate, Zablotny stacked trick after trick: flatspins, nac-nacs, one-foot tabletops, a backflip off a huge flat drop, a suicide no-hander, and a final opposite-spin flatspin. Every move showcased precision, balance, and confidence under pressure.

Not making my first run, and thinking about how I could make it to the bottom of my second run put a lot of pressure on me, but pressure is good, and I embrace it.

I am so happy. Like, beyond words with how that turned out.”

In one flawless run, Zablotny went from promising newcomer to Red Bull Rampage champion, becoming the first rookie to win since Brandon Semenuk in 2008. His self-built line reflected creativity and composure, with judges and fans alike recognizing the combination of technical skill, style, and line vision that set him apart.

A key part of his setup was the
Race Face Atlas wheels, known for their strength, durability, and reliability under the most demanding freeride conditions. From massive drops to high-speed landings, the Atlas wheels provided the stability Zablotny needed to ride at his absolute limit. In a field where every component counts, his confidence in the Atlas setup played a crucial role in his victory.

Zablotny’s Rampage win signals a generational shift in freeride mountain biking. Rampage has always rewarded experience and precision, but 2025 proved that the next generation is here to push the boundaries even further. Against brutal terrain and legendary competition, Hayden showed that vision, composure, and trust in your equipment can still rewrite
what’s possible on a mountain bike.
