RIDING DISCIPLINE: Big Mountain to Enduro, what I love most is JUMPING !!

BIGGEST INFLUENCE(S) ON YOUR RIDING: Anne Caroline Chausson – solid all around rider still to this day. And recently, the words and last image Mountaineering Legend Chris Bonnington ended his 1997 Banff National Film Festival presentation with. He showed us an Arial image of the many unclimbed peaks in the Himalaya and told us to dream … to go after it all. (The Countries surrounding most of the notable peaks were just starting to give climbers more access.) Those profound words and image have stuck with me throughout the years and I have taken it to the summer Mountains around Revelstoke … The past few years I’ve been exploring and accessing the many vast ridges and ride-able remote alpine, sometime by helicopter and sometimes by driving my Toyota more than 100km into the remote dirt roads to find and ride the unnamed goods. I even had the chance to get a helicopter lift into a remote and ride-able zone in the Yukon this past summer. Hope to share with you the images one day…

SPECIAL TALENT: I used to play the violin…like really good.

FAVORITE RIDING LOCATION: Revelstoke, BC – from its high alpine XC to its big mountain descents … followed closely by the Whistler Bike Park and almost everywhere in between. Aka – the mountains of BC!!

WHAT GOT YOU IN TO RIDING?: Living in Canada and having 2 main seasons, I needed a summer mountain activity that could match my stoke for winter snowboarding. I got a mountain bike. Riding with the trail concavities and going fast through the trees was it – within a ride I was hooked.

FIRST ‘REAL’ MOUNTAIN BIKE:Kona Kilauea – a triple butted cromoly hardtail that took me some amazing places … I loved that little bike.

PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE: “Dream it … and dream BiG! The only thing stopping you is usually just you … believe.”

PERSONAL CATCH PHRASE: “Stay clear of Professional Complainers!! (They just don’t get how RAD life can be and will bring your life quality down.)”
