Sits in a box...

Originally, my 2019 Santa Cruz Hightower LT came with a RaceFace Aeffect dropper post. Within several months, the Aeffect dropper post completely quit working and was not serviceable. Instead, I paid extra on top of the warranty to get the higher end 31.6 150mm RaceFace Turbine R. Now, after several seasons, the turbine R requires slick honey (lubrication) nearly every ride to function properly. The return is very sluggish and will not go up from a dropped position if I don’t lubricate it each ride. I’ve also noticed the post has developed a slight sag. When The first RaceFace dropper failed, I thought that since the turbine R was built on the Fox transfer platform, it would be worth the purchase and trouble free for a long time. Everyone says the Fox Transfer posts rarely ever require servicing. I really wish my RaceFace experiences had been better...

Hi Ronnie,

Sorry you are having issues with your post. All posts need to be serviced on a regular basis in relation to riding time. We will reach out to you offline with some service options.

Best Regards,
FOX / Raceface Team

Meh. Was ok while it worked.

Meh. I had a fox transfer on another bike that was flawless for a few seasons. The turbine r, despite being based on the transfer, has not been as good. Return started to seem slow in the fall but I thought cold was affecting it. This spring, over 3 days of riding, it gradually went from slow, to stopping an inch from full extension, to no return at all. Disappointing. My next post will be a chain reaction cycles brand x. No reason to spend more now.

Hi Ryan,

This issue is not the typical performance we see with the Turbine R adjustable post. We will reach out to you offline and schedule an evaluation with one of our service centers.

Best Regards,

Works Great, might need occasional service

I've used a variety of dropper posts and this one is by far my favorite. It is smooth and reliable. Fox recommends service every 125 hours. My local shop said they see them go without service for way way longer than that. When in doubt, send it in. Otherwise just run it!

Works every time

I bought this post to replace the lack luster Command Post IRcc that came stock on my bike. I did my research and decided to try the Turbine R, it works every time. I never have to think about it, even in the cold weather. Perfect!
