Junior Web / Digital Designer. Burnaby, BC

General Summary: 

Do you have a passion for digital design and cycling? At Race Face and Easton Cycling we produce industry leading products and cutting-edge marketing campaigns. We’re looking for a passionate, outdoor enthusiast to join our talented team.

You are a digital specialist that can create standout content, manage our various digital channels and take our digital marketing to new levels. The ideal candidate is passionate about the web, savvy with social media and mobile consumer experiences and has the skills to create industry leading content to continuously engage our passionate audience. You are organized, have the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. You will be entrenched in our digital marketing efforts supporting and assisting with the management of our website, e-commerce site, social and media partnerships. 

 
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare creatives for our digital marketing touch points: banners, takeovers, social, media partners, and distributors.
  • Manage our digital assets through our distribution channels.
  • Update product images and website banners.
  • Create HTML 5 banners (Google Web Developer or Adobe Edge) for digital media outlets.
  • Format digital advertising to a variety of sizes: mobile, tablet and desktop standards.
  • Support our e-commerce team with the creation of marketing content.
  • Contribute to marketing department creative brainstorm of new campaigns
  • Maintain awareness of new digital advertising trends and opportunities, presenting to team when relevant.
  • Support graphic design department with clipping and retouching when needed.
Requirements:
  • 1–3 years in an agency/studio environment is preferred or related professional experience.
  • This position requires solid experience as a digital designer; website front end design, graphic design, advertising.
  • Able to organize multiple tasks and manage projects through to completion.
  • Strong organizational skills, project planning abilities, timeline management, and attention to details.
  • Thorough knowledge of website design, including mobile, responsive and e-commerce an asset.
  • Experience designing in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with HTML 5/Google Platform Ads.
  • Experience with social media advertising-Facebook, Instagram, etc.
  • Demonstrate a passion for product and brand building.

Junior Graphic Designer / Production Artist. Burnaby, BC

General Summary: 

Do you have a passion for digital design and cycling? At Race Face and Easton Cycling we produce industry leading products and cutting-edge marketing campaigns. We’re looking for a passionate, outdoor enthusiast to join our talented team.

We are seeking a junior designer with strong attention to detail to execute on accurate production artwork. You will be supporting and learning from the senior designer on a variety of projects such as updating production drawings, revising packaging, creating installation guides and image preparation. This creative role has the potential to expand into increased collaboration with the engineering department on product design. The ideal teammate is extremely organized, has the ability to multitask and is capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Production drawing updates.
  • Creating installation guides.
  • Preparing print and digital for ads and banners.
  • Preparing assets for tradeshows and events.
  • Assist in catalog and website updates and development.
  • Manage digital assets across multiple channels.
  • Image preparation/optimization.
  • Ensure assets are updated across all our distribution channels.
  • Packaging Updates.
  • Follow brand and graphic conventions.
  • Work with the Senior Designer to implement design ideas or revise/edit them.

Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience working in a production environment doing graphic design or product design.
  • Possess proficient skill level with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Speed and efficiency with these programs is a must.
  • Strong design and production skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, showing flexibility to adapt to changing timelines and priorities.  
  • Must have excellent understanding of conceptual design, layout, and typography principals.
  • Experience with adhering to brand standards and design guides.
  • Strong organizational skills, project planning abilities, timeline management, and attention to details.
  • Industrial design experience is an asset but not required.

Intermediate Accountant. Burnaby, B.C.

General Summary: Raceface & Easton Cycling Canada, with the support of our parent company, Fox Factory Inc., are continuing to expand. At our facilities in Burnaby, we engineer, produce, distribute and market some of the world’s best bicycle components. With additional manufacturing in Taiwan, we sell to dealers, distributors and original equipment manufacturers in Canada, the USA and around the world. Reporting to the Director of Finance, we are looking for a full-time Intermediate Accountant who can provide support to the current team of 4 in our US GAAP and SOX-compliant environment. As this is a new position, the specific duties may change and the position could evolve to include more complex challenges.

Current Responsibilities:

  • Recurring and non-recurring monthly and quarterly journal entries, period-end adjustments
  • Sales, Use, VAT, Excise and corporate tax calculations, accruals, reporting and filing
  • Reviewing, validating and processing employee expense reports, corporate credit cards and vendor payments
  • Testing and validating system reports and processes, including those necessary for audit and SOX compliance
  • Assisting in the preparation of audit schedules and other internal and parent-company financial reports
  • Transaction assessment, investigating system and process results and pursuing causes
  • General and subledger account reconciliation, correction and reporting
  • Inventory reconciliation and control, cost investigation, variance analysis and reporting
  • Recording and reconciling intercompany activities
  • Sales and expense reporting and analysis
  • Recording bank and cash transactions
  • Balance sheet account reconciliations and P&L variance analysis
  • Promoting financial controls and procedures, suggesting improvements, raising concerns
  • Developing and documenting business process and SOX-compliant procedures
  • Initiating ERP queries and investigating results; pursuing issues to completion
  • Recommending improvements, adaptations, or revisions in the accounting system
  • Compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare general ledger entries and document business transactions
  • Auditing contracts, orders, and vouchers, and preparing documentation for individual transactions prior to settlement
  • Maintaining documentation, files, audit trail, appropriate sign-offs and backup
  • Supporting Credit and AR, AP and Senior Accountant, with emphasis on the procurement/disbursement cycle
  • Providing backup for payroll functions
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Requirements:

  • 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience in manufacturing
  • Proven experience in a dynamic public company environment
  • Prior success in working with ERP systems, foreign currencies and intercompany transactions
  • Sound professional judgement and an ability to connect with people
  • Intermediate skills in Excel and the MS Office suite
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Superior attention to detail and problem solving skills with the ability to recognize similarities in situations
  • Excellent reconciliation skills – ability to identify related items, find outliers and identify path to resolution
  • Self-starter who isn’t looking to be told what to do, but who knows when to ask questions and get support
  • Positive can-do attitude with a preference for teamwork
  • CPA student – interested in expanding knowledge and skills

Desirables:

  • Past experience in payroll and payment processing

Warranty/Customer Service Representative. Burnaby, B.C.

General Summary: The Warranty/Customer Service Representative will manage the day-to-day details related to supporting the Easton Cycling and Race Face dealer base and outside Sales Reps. This includes daily communication (phone, email or social media), fulfilling all of the needs & requests for ordering, warranty and shipping product in a timely and efficient manner.

Core functions:

  • Processes returns/warranties and complete service per department procedures.
  • Respond effectively to customer, dealer and distributer inquiries to ensure good business relations and a satisfied customer.
  • Proactively communicate persistent quality control issues within the department and to other departments as necessary.

Specific Duties:

  • Attracts potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services in a professional and positive manner.
  • Resolve customer requests via phone, email, mail, or social media.
  • Assist with placement of orders, refunds, or exchanges.
  • Opens customer accounts by recording account information. Maintains customer records by updating account information.
  • Respond effectively to dealer inquiries to ensure good business relations
  • Analyze data to identify sales and service opportunities
  • Provide feedback to Sales manager as needed
  • Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
  • Recommends potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.
  • Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Provide special events and technical support where needed in season.
