E-Commerce Manager/Coordinator. Burnaby, B.C.

General Summary: RFE is growing and searching for an analytical, and dedicated professional to take on an evolving e-commerce role as part of the marketing team. This is a rare opportunity to collaborate on the building and operation of a new e-commerce platform for the Race Face and Easton global brands. The ideal candidate will have e-commerce experience and strong online advertising expertise. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this person will play a key role in the building and updating of a new digital storefront and then work with the marketing team to create digital advertising content, optimize ad placement, manage inventory and order fulfillment. The role will also require elementary graphic skills and programming skills with support from the graphics and IT department as needed.
 
Responsibilities:
  • E-Commerce site: collaborate on website build, lead update and management of online store.
  • Marketing and B2B Sites: Work with communication coordinator to update current raceface.com and eastoncycling.com marketing sites as well as B2B platforms.
  • Digital Advertising: Explore new digital advertising platforms and strategies; work with marketing and graphics team to create digital brand ads and e-commerce focused ads.
  • E-Newsletter: Work with communication coordinator on e-newsletters to highlight new products and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Digital Analytics: Collect and monitor digital ad performance metrics, google analytics and media buys, presenting results weekly and recommending actions for digital advertising spend.
  • Social Media: Work with social media team to collaborate on content and drive traffic to e-commerce platform.
  • Grassroots Sponsorship: Work with sports marketing team and directly with grassroots athletes to submit and deliver athlete orders.
  • Inventory & Order Management: Manage e-commerce inventory, communicate with sales and operations to insure correct inventory is on hand and the warehouse is correctly shipping the orders once entered into our ERP system.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years experience running or managing an e-commerce store.
  • E-Commerce Platform  Knowledge : Shopify, Woocommerce, Magento, Drupal, Wordpress experience an asset
  • Basic Programming Proficiency: HTML, CSS, FTP, etc.
  • Commercial Design Software Skills: Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat), an asset
  • Computer Savvy: Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Database Management skills.
  • Experience with Mail Chimp database and email software is an asset
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to create technical product copy for web and print, press releases, design briefs, ad copy, newsletter mailings.
  • Highly organized, creative and able to juggle many projects simultaneously.
  • Strong eye for detail and composition.
  • Strong knowledge of the bike industry.

Marketing Coordinator. Burnaby, B.C

General Summary:Collaborate with the Race Face Marketing Programs Manager to coordinate and execute on athlete sponsorship, tradeshows & events, daily social media posting, customer engagement and retention, as well as corporate events management. Streamline the RF Athlete/Ambassador program (assist in vetting new sponsorship requests, perform data entry for athlete orders, ensure athletes are set up with product throughout the season and monitor athlete contributions to ensure they are fulfilling their obligations to the company in order to maintain sponsorship status with the brand). Contribute to the marketing team in weekly meetings; assisting on large projects where needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Tradeshow: Manage Tradeshow assets (i.e. create a sign-out and return program to be sure assets are tracked, kept in good condition and stored properly for future use). Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of tradeshows (i.e. Book booth space, flights, accommodations, vehicle rentals, booth schedules, merchandising tent, etc.)
  • Sponsorship Program: Assist the Marketing Programs Coordinator with rider, team, and organization sponsorship to create an overall plan for the season and ensure each event receives the appropriate product/$$ they were promised in a timely manner.  Manage the rider database (current contact info, sizing, etc). Enter booking orders and ultimately setup individual athletes, teams and organizations with all product and marketing materials needed for the season. Field all Grassroots product request and monitor the success of the program. Field all Grassroots product requests captured by the B2B and B2C sites to funnel them through the MRP system.
  • Social Media: plan & execute on daily social media posts, engage customers through social media channels to respond in a timely manner and solve any challenges to ensure they have a positive experience with the brand. Assist the Marketing Programs Manager with the overall social media plan by tracking and analyzing metrics to identify successful campaigns. Propose social media series themes, contests and customer engagement. Monitor social media efforts of competitors and non-endemic action sports companies to make recommendations that will build our fan base.
  • Ads (online, print & video): Attend shoots, on occasion, to assist with styling/errands and athlete/photog comfort while on the shoot.
  • Track monthly budget actuals for the marketing and soft goods team to ensure they are on track for the financial year
  • Corporate Event Planning: Assist Marketing with corporate and staff social events planning.
Requirements:
  • Strong Software Skills: Microsoft Office, Extremely strong in MS Office (Excel is a must) as well as a strong aptitude for learning new software. Internet Savvy, strong knowledge of social media apps. Knowledge of B2B, B2C is an asset.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, presentation and inter-personal skills.
  • Highly organized, creative and able to juggle many projects simultaneously.
  • Tradeshow/Event experience with coordination of and execution at the event.
  • Able to take direction but work autonomously when needed to push projects through tight timelines.
  • Able to collaborate with and contribute to a team.
  • Strong knowledge of the cycling industry (action sports) is an asset.

Warranty/Customer Service Representative. Burnaby, B.C.

General Summary: The Warranty/Customer Service Representative will manage the day-to-day details related to supporting the Easton Cycling and Race Face dealer base and outside Sales Reps. This includes daily communication (phone, email or social media), fulfilling all of the needs & requests for ordering, warranty and shipping product in a timely and efficient manner.

Core functions:

  • Processes returns/warranties and complete service per department procedures.
  • Respond effectively to customer, dealer and distributer inquiries to ensure good business relations and a satisfied customer.
  • Proactively communicate persistent quality control issues within the department and to other departments as necessary.

Specific Duties:

  • Attracts potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services in a professional and positive manner.
  • Resolve customer requests via phone, email, mail, or social media.
  • Assist with placement of orders, refunds, or exchanges.
  • Opens customer accounts by recording account information. Maintains customer records by updating account information.
  • Respond effectively to dealer inquiries to ensure good business relations
  • Analyze data to identify sales and service opportunities
  • Provide feedback to Sales manager as needed
  • Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
  • Recommends potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.
  • Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Provide special events and technical support where needed in season.
